Canada area codes

Canada is part of the North American Numbering Plan (NANP, country code +1), sharing the same 10-digit format as the United States. Canadian numbering is administered by the Canadian Numbering Administrator (CNA) under the CRTC; relief is done through distributed overlays, not geographic splits — no Canadian area code has been split since 1999.
